Professional Member –

A Professional Member is any person who has a professional interest in poultry science. Professional members may be educators, scientists, extension specialists, administrators, and producers who are committed to advancing the poultry industry.

Annual dues for Professional Members are $120 per calendar year and include electronic access to Poultry Science® journal. Electronic access to the Journal of Applied Poultry Research is an additional cost, as are paper copies of both journals. Membership in PSA provides reduced registration rates to the Annual Meeting and reduced page charges for manuscripts published in both Poultry Science® and Journal of Applied Poultry Research. A Professional Member shall have all the rights and privileges of the Association.

Student Member –

A Student Member is any person who is duly registered or enrolled for a degree or diploma in a recognized college, university, or institution of higher education, and does not hold a doctorate degree. The person must be classified as a full-time student and be following a curriculum in, or closely related to, poultry science or an allied field. All student members are automatically members of the PSA Student Hatchery and have all the rights and privileges of Professional Members, except that Undergraduate Student members cannot vote or hold office.

First year student dues are FREE and subsequent year’s dues are $30. Students received electronic access to Poultry Science® journal with their membership. Electronic access to the Journal of Applied Poultry Research is an additional cost, as are paper copies of both journals. Student membership in PSA provides reduced student registration rates to the Annual Meeting.

Emeritus Member –

An Emeritus Member is a Professional Member of PSA who has attained 70 years of age, or a Professional Member who has attained a retired status and is no longer in receipt of a regular salary for work in the poultry area. An Emeritus member shall have all the rights and privileges of the Association.

Annual dues for Emeritus Members are FREE and include electronic access to Poultry Science® journal. Electronic access to the Journal of Applied Poultry Research is an additional cost, as are paper copies of both journals. Emeritus Membership in PSA provides reduced retired registration rates to the Annual Meeting.

Individual Sustaining Member –

PSA believes that students are the future of the Poultry Science Association. As a result, PSA initiated the Individual Sustaining Member program in 1993. All of the proceeds from this program fund one-year FREE graduate student memberships. Many of the students who receive this first-year FREE membership have renewed the following year.

PSA is committed to providing for the future of poultry science and all members of PSA are asked to help support this program by making an annual donation. All contributions are noted in the PSA Newsletter.
