Reservations will be taken February 1-June 6, 2003 for accommodations in Witte Hall, a University residence hall located at 615 West Johnson Street, conveniently located within blocks of the Monona Terrace meeting site. Rooms are comfortable and reasonable, available either as doubles or singles, all with single/twin beds. Witte Hall will be open to receive guests beginning on Saturday, July 5 at 2:00 p.m. and will be available to check in and out anytime through departure on Thursday, July 10 by 12:00 p.m.

 

Sleeping Accommodations and Amenities:

 

·          All bed linens, pillows, blankets, towels, washcloths, drinking cups and soap are furnished.

·          Ethernet connections are available in the guest rooms for your laptop computer.

·          All rooms are air-conditioned and have a small refrigerator.

·          Private telephones are provided in each guest room with free local phone calls. Long distance calls can be connected using a pre-paid calling card or credit card.

·          Rooms will be cleaned, beds made and towels changed daily.

·          Televisions are located in floor dens. Cable connections are provided in your guest room to bring your own portable television.

·          Laundry facilities are provided in the building for a nominal fee.

·          All facility areas are smoke-free. Alcoholic beverages may be consumed by adults of legal drinking age (21 years old) in their rooms only.

 

Restrooms: Sleeping rooms do not have private bathrooms, but an excellent single gender bath facility is conveniently located on each floor. These shared facilities do include private shower and restroom stalls.

 

Desk Services: Witte Hall is staffed with a 24-hour desk service on the first floor. Guests receiving calls should instruct friends and family to call (608) 262-7850 during their conference. Messages will be placed in mailboxes marked with the room numbers near the Witte Hall front desk. Alarm clocks, irons and ironing boards are available for check-out on a first-come, first-served basis. Laundry soap, pre-paid phone cards, Ethernet cable and other items are for sale.

 

Rates: The residence hall nightly rate July 5-9 for a double room is $35.00 per person and for a single room is $52.00 per person. All payments are due in full at check-in, and can be made by cash (in U.S. dollars), check, MasterCard or VISA.

 

Reservations: Guests indicating their desire for a double room without securing their own roommate will be assigned a roommate prior to receiving their confirmation. Reservations will be confirmed a few weeks prior to the program and will include providing guests with their assigned room and phone number.
