Poultry Science Association Enhances Service to Members with New Staff

CHAMPAIGN, Ill., (December 9, 2024) – Champaign, IL – The Poultry Science Association (PSA) is pleased to welcome two new team members, Isabella Woolslayer and Jason Calloway, whose expertise and diverse professional backgrounds will strengthen PSA’s operations and support its mission to advance the poultry sciences worldwide.

Isabella Woolslayer – Member & Administrative Services Manager

In her new role as Member & Administrative Services Manager, Woolslayer will oversee member engagement, recruitment, and retention while leveraging data and feedback to drive growth and enrich the member experience. Additionally, she will provide vital administrative support for the PSA office and Board of Directors.

Woolslayer brings significant experience in membership management and community engagement. Her previous roles include working with the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) as a Customer and Membership Services Representative and serving as a Senior Property Administrator for Colliers International, where she excelled in database management, tenant relations, and operational oversight. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Communication Studies from the University of Iowa, a Bachelor of Political Science from Arizona State University, and ongoing studies toward a Master of Public Administration in Public Management at DePaul University (expected 2025).

"We are excited to have Isabella join the PSA team," said Andy Vance, PSA Executive Director. "Her proven expertise in membership lifecycle management and her commitment to fostering community engagement will be instrumental in enhancing the value and reach of our association."

Jason Calloway – Scientific Programs Manager

As PSA’s new Scientific Programs Manager, Calloway will bring his organizational acumen and innovative mindset to the association’s scientific initiatives. His responsibilities will include managing PSA’s programs, events, and projects aimed at advancing research and collaboration within the poultry science community.

Calloway’s professional background includes serving as Assistant Director of the Parking Department at the University of Illinois, where he successfully implemented a license plate recognition system and drove the department’s financial turnaround. At Wolfram Research, he managed events globally, marketed technical software solutions, and delivered presentations to diverse scientific audiences. A graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in Communications, Calloway also competed as a full-scholarship athlete in track and field.

"Jason’s extensive experience in event management, marketing, and science-focused communications makes him a perfect fit for our team," said Vance. "His dedication to excellence and collaborative approach will enhance our scientific programs and strengthen PSA’s impact in the field."

The addition of Woolslayer and Calloway underscores PSA’s commitment to providing exceptional value to its members and advancing the poultry sciences through innovative programs and member engagement.
