PSA Executive Director Andy Vance Earns Certified Association Executive (CAE) Credential
CHAMPAIGN, Ill., – The Poultry Science Association announces that Executive Director Andy Vance, MS, MBA, earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential, the highest professional designation in association management.
Awarded by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), the CAE credential is held by fewer than 5% of association professionals worldwide, signifying a commitment to excellence, leadership, and best practices in nonprofit and association management.
"Earning the Certified Association Executive credential is a professional milestone in my commitment to excellence in the leadership of our Association,” said Vance. “The process deepened my understanding of the essential principles that drive successful associations, reinforcing my commitment to serving PSA and our members at the highest level. I am honored to join the distinguished community of CAE professionals advancing the field of association management."
To achieve the CAE, candidates must demonstrate extensive experience in association management, complete a structured program of professional development, and pass a comprehensive examination that tests their expertise in areas critical to nonprofit and association success. The credential signifies mastery of competencies essential to leading and strengthening professional and trade associations.
"The Ohio Society of Association Professionals is exceptionally proud of all those who earned the valuable CAE accreditation, and we're especially proud of Andy Vance, who is also a new OSAP board director," said OSAP President & CEO Jarrod A. Clabaugh, CAE. "This is a challenging test that requires many hours of study and dedication, and the achievement of the accreditation highlights the profound commitment that those who earn it possess. Each and every CAE understands that they are the shining example of professionalism within the association management community. Andy is no different."
The CAE credential is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) and requires ongoing professional development and recertification every three years to maintain its standard of excellence.
