The Poultry Science Association Awards William “Ches” Grisham with Zinpro Corporation’s Undergraduate Poultry Science Scholarship Award.
CHAMPAIGN, IL, UNITED STATES, April 24, 2024 – The Poultry Science Association (PSA) has selected William “Ches” Grisham of Mississippi State University (pictured to the left) as the 2024 recipient of Zinpro Corporation’s Undergraduate Poultry Science Scholarship Award.
This scholarship, sponsored by Zinpro Corporation, serves to promote diversity in the poultry science industry by awarding funds to a student belonging to gender, racial or ethnic groups that have been historically under-represented in the United States. The selected recipient is chosen based on scholastic achievement and service and an interest in continuing to learn and promote the role of the poultry industry in feeding the world’s growing population. The award is given to either a rising junior or senior undergraduate student.

Ches Grisham will be entering his senior year at Mississippi State University in the Fall 2024 semester. He is an outstanding student, having already been accepted into the University’s veterinary curriculum through the early entry program. His early selection into the program highlights his academic prowess and ambitions to become a poultry veterinarian. In his scholarship essay, Ches highlights the importance of diversity representation to resonate with consumer demographics. He also notes that increasing diversity benefits the overall appeal of the poultry industry and its products for consumers.
“Being selected as the recipient of the Zinpro Corporation’s Undergraduate Poultry Science Scholarship is an incredible honor,” says Grisham. “This award will allow me to enter the last year of my undergraduate career with minimal financial stress so that I can fully invest my time in my courses at Mississippi State University. I am very grateful to have been chosen as a recipient for this award and look forward to growing my knowledge and experiences in the Poultry Industry.”
The Poultry Science Association echoes Zinpro Corporation’s congratulations for Ches in being awarded this year’s scholarship. The Association’s scholarship cycle opens annually from October 1st to December 31st.
