General Information
Poultry scientists and students are encouraged to submit original research, teaching and extension papers, field reports and case studies. Oral and Poster presentations papers should consist of original work that has not been accepted for publication in a journal or presented at another scientific meeting. The author submitting the abstract is responsible for its content and quality of preparation. The final program for the PSA Pacific Rim Scientific Conference will be posted on the conference website at Pacific Rim Scientific Conference - The Poultry Science Association. Authors should be aware of patent considerations before submitting abstracts for publication.
TABLES AND IMAGES: Tables and images are not allowed in abstracts.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Abstracts must be submitted electronically via the conference website (Pacific Rim Scientific Conference - The Poultry Science Association) no later than 11:59 pm, Eastern Time, June 16, 2025. Abstracts not meeting this deadline will not be accepted. Authors are limited to presenting a maximum of three abstracts.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Abstracts must be in English and shall comply with PSA submission requirements and guidelines that are available online at Abstracts - The Poultry Science Association.
AUTHOR NOTIFICATION: Authors and co-authors will receive a confirmation email when the abstract is submitted. Authors will be notified by email following acceptance/rejection of their submitted abstracts on or about July 10, 2025. Make sure that you enter your email and those of each of the co-authors correctly. Once the program is finalized with days, times, and locations, it will be posted on the PSA Pacific Rim Scientific Conference website.
ORAL PRESENTATIONS: Oral presentations for the Pacific Rim Scientific Conference should be no more than 12 minutes, followed by three minutes of discussion for questions and answers. Computers and LCD projectors will be provided. If other audio-visual equipment is required, please contact the Poultry Science Association office at psa@poultryscience.org. Presenters must upload their presentation in advance on the website or bring their presentation to the conference on a memory stick. Zip drives will not be available. You cannot use your own computer.
POSTER PRESENTATIONS: Posters shall comply with PSA poster requirements that are available at Abstracts - The Poultry Science Association.
STUDENT AWARD OF EXCELLENCE COMPETITION: Students are encouraged to participate and have their presentation judged in the Award of Excellence Competition. The presenting author must be a student member of PSA (membership is free of charge) and be listed as the first author. The student’s Advisor must be included in the list of authors. Students may submit multiple abstracts for presentation, but only ONE abstract may be entered in the student award competition. A copy of the competition evaluation form is available online at
Abstracts - The Poultry Science Association. All oral presentations must be presented in English, but questions can be answered in the language of choice. Poster presentations may be presented in the language of choice.
SECTION/CATEGORY PREFERENCE: Authors MUST indicate their section preference (see list of sections below). The Program Committee will consider the author's preference, as well as scheduling constraints, when assigning abstracts by section. The Program Committee reserves the right to switch oral presentations to poster presentations if necessary.

NOTE: There are no Student Competition Sections listed at the time of abstract submission. Abstracts are to be submitted to the appropriate section and marked as a Student Competition entry. They will be moved to a Student Competition section after abstract submission closes.
