The Poultry Science Association (PSA), in collaboration with the U.S. Poultry & Egg Harold E. Ford Foundation (USPOULTRY Foundation), is pleased to announce the Ph.D. and Vet Student Career Fair, scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026, from 8:00 to 11:30 a.m. in Room B-401 of the Georgia World Congress Center during the 2026 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE). This event is held in conjunction with the International Poultry Scientific Forum (IPSF).

The Career Fair is designed to connect early Ph.D. and veterinary students with talent-seeking companies in the poultry sector. The event supports USPOULTRY and PSA member companies and allied suppliers—particularly those in technology-driven areas such as genetics, health, pharmaceuticals, and nutrition.

PSA remains committed to advancing professional development for poultry science students through multiple initiatives. These include the PSA Hatchery, a graduate student organization that fosters research-focused career paths, as well as the Giesen Internship Program for aspiring graduate students. Additionally, PSA supports students through a range of endowed undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships, made possible by industry partnerships and donors.

USPOULTRY, through its Foundation, also hosts the highly regarded College Student Career Program during IPPE. While that program targets undergraduate (B.S.) and master’s (M.S.) students pursuing internships and entry-level industry roles, the Ph.D. and Vet Student Career Fair offers a unique opportunity for more advanced students to explore research and leadership roles within the poultry industry.

“The Ph.D. and Vet Student Career Fair offers a direct line between emerging scientific talent and the companies shaping the future of the poultry industry. It’s a valuable platform for both students exploring their career paths and organizations seeking the next generation of leaders,” said Andy Vance, Executive Director of the Poultry Science Association.

Participating companies will receive a table and two chairs and are encouraged to bring materials such as literature or pop-up banners to share with prospective candidates. There is no cost for companies or students to participate. The deadline for company registration is Friday, Jan. 2, 2026.
