Managing Your Profile

Navigate to your profile by clicking your profile icon in the upper right-hand corner next to the Create button. Or you can click here.

Once in your profile, we encourage you to fill out as many details as possible including…

  • Your Areas of Expertise (This is one of the ways other members will be able to find you in the Membership Directory).
  • Upload a Profile Photo
  • Bio
  • Education History
  • Job History

Next, click the My Account drop-down. Here you will be able to manage your privacy settings and email preferences.

Using Communities & Libraries

What is a community? Communities allow you to participate in discussions and share resources with other members. Communities are topic-based and we encourage you to join as many the align with your interests.

See all communities available to join here.

After joining a community, you are encouraged to engage with other members through a discussion post, ask a question, or share a resource you have found beneficial through the Libraries feature. Libraries serve as a personal drive for a given community’s shared resources. These resources can include an array of files from PDFs and spreadsheets to videos and links!

Networking & the Membership Directory

Through the PSA website, you can network with other poultry scientists digitally! If you find someone you know, there will be an option to “Add as Contact”. This will send a connection request to that individual. Once approved, this person will appear in your Contacts under the My Connections tab of your profile. Establishing a contact allows you to directly message the individual and expand your professional network. Establishing connections is also one of several ways to earn contribution badges though the website. For more details on contributions, visit your profile or click here.

The membership directory is a great way to locate your colleagues. You can search by name and location, or you can search by specific areas of expertise. Check out the directory here.

Still Have Questions?

No problem, please visit the Help/FAQs page in the Community drop-down menu or click here. Here you will find answers to a variety of features within the site.
