Tony Pescatore:
Dr. Tony Pescatore is an extension professor in the Department of Animal and Food Sciences at the University of Kentucky. He has contributed to various book chapters, journal articles, extension publications, conference proceedings, and abstracts. He has served on the editorial or review board of the Journal of Applied Poultry Research and has served as an associate editor for Poultry Science. The Kentucky Poultry Federation has named Dr. Pescatore to the Kentucky Poultry Hall of Fame. He earned his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University and was elected PSA Fellow in 2008.
Don Mclntyre:
Dr. Don Mclntyre is an adjunct faculty member at the Prestage Department of Poultry Science at North Carolina State University and is also associated with Global Animal Products as a poultry technical service manager. He earned his MS from Colorado State University and Ph.D. from North Carolina State University and was elected PSA Fellow in 2022.
Dave Peebles:
Dr. Dave Peebles is Professor Emeritus at Mississippi State University. He has been a continuous member of PSA since 1984 and served the PSA as at-large director from 2015 to 2018. He has a wealth of teaching, advising, and administrative experience throughout his career. He earned his Ph.D. from North Carolina State University in 1986 and was elected PSA Fellow in 2019.
Kenneth Anderson:
Dr. Anderson is a professor, director of graduate programs, and extension specialist at the Prestage Department of Poultry Science at North Carolina State University. He serves as director of the North Carolina Layer Performance and Management Program working in all aspects of layer husbandry and HPAI control. He earned his master’s degree and Ph.D. from Kansas State University. He was elected Fellow of the Poultry Science Association in 2020.
Mamduh Sifri:
Dr. Sifri is the owner and founder of Sifri Solutions LLC, and previously, he served at ADM as director of poultry nutrition and specialty. He earned his Ph.D. in poultry nutrition and Biochemistry from North Dakota State University, and he has extensive experience with in basic and applied research at universities and industry for product development.
Richard Gast:
Dr. Gast is working in the USDA Agricultural Research Service as a Microbiologist and research leader of the egg safety and quality research unit at the US National Poultry Research Center in Athens, Georgia. He earned his Ph.D. from the Ohio State University, and he has been a member of the Poultry Science Association since 1984. He was elected PSA Fellow in 2019.
Robert Taylor:
Dr. Taylor is a professor of Immunology and Immunogenetics at West Virginia University and was previously Editor-in-Chief of Poultry Science Journal. His research has produced 123 publications, 45 technical reports, and 126 abstracts. He earned his Ph.D. from Mississippi State University in 1981 and was honored as a Fellow of the Poultry Science Association in 2015.
Karen Schwean-Lardner
Dr. Karen Schwean-Lardner is a professor in the Department of Animal and Poultry Science at the University of Saskatchewan. Her research focuses on behavioral and welfare aspects of turkeys, broilers, and laying hens. She earned her B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. at the University of Saskatchewan. She is the past president of PSA and was recognized as a class of 2024 Poultry Science Association Fellow.
Mary Ann Ottinger
Dr. Mary Ann Ottinger is an Emeritus and Research Professor in the Department of Biology and Biochemistry at the University of Houston. Her research focuses on the field of neuroendocrinology with particular emphasis on regulation and endocrine disruption in avian systems. She has been named a Fellow of the American Association for Advancement of Science. She was the first woman elected as President of the Poultry Science Association (PSA) in 1995 and elected Fellow of PSA in 2005. She received a bachelor’s, master ‘s, and Ph.D. in zoology from the University of Maryland.
Michael Kogut
Dr. Michael Kogut is a research microbiologist and lead scientist at the Agriculture Research Services, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA-ARS). His research focuses on antibiotic alternatives and immune modulation by improving gut health. He earned his M.S. from Penn State University and his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia. He is also Editor-in-Chief of Poultry Science Journal and was honored as a Poultry Science Association Fellow in 2024.
Paul Siegel
Dr. Paul Siegel is a University Distinguished Professor and professor emeritus in the School of Animal Sciences at Virginia Tech. He has worked extensively in the field of poultry genetics and has published more than 400 journal articles. He had served as Editor-in-Chief of the Poultry Science journal from 2002 to 2004, and due to his immense contributions to the poultry industry, he was inducted into the American Poultry Industry Hall of Fame in 2010. He is a past president of PSA and was named a fellow of the society as well. He earned his Ph.D. in poultry genetics from Kansas State University.
Tom Porter
Dr. Tom Porter is a Distinguished University Professor of avian physiology in the Department of Animal and Avian Sciences at the University of Maryland. His research focuses on molecular and cellular endocrinology in poultry. He was named a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences (AAAS) for his contributions to poultry science. He has served as Editor-in-Chief of Poultry Science Journal and as past PSA President. He was named a PSA Fellow in 2016. He holds a Ph.D. in Animal Physiology from the University of Minnesota.
Wayne Kuenzel
Dr. Wayne Kuenzel is a professor of physiology and neuroendocrinology in the Department of Poultry Science at the University of Arkansas. His research focuses on the neurons that regulate the avian reproductive system. He was included in the 2023 fellow class of the American Association for the Advancement of Science for his contribution to science. He was also named a 2012 Fellow of the Poultry Science Association. He earned his Ph.D. in Zoology from the University of Georgia and conducted post-doctoral research at Cornell University.
