Fellowship Opportunities Through PSA

All fellowship award recipients will be required to complete a progress report each year throughout the three-year funding period. Details and deadlines will be disclosed to the recipient.

Additionally, all opportunities listed below require that the applicant be attending a United States based institution of study in order to be considered. Applications that do not abide by this qualification will not be considered.

The purpose of this fellowship is to provide funding over the course of a three-year period to an outstanding student currently pursuing a PhD in the poultry sciences. A total of $37,500 will be distributed over the three-year period and is subject to satisfactory progress. The selected recipient will be directed in their study of poultry genetics by a faculty mentor and advisory committee to include a Cobb-Vantress scientist.

Priority emphasis for the proposed research project will focus on innovative, applied, and basic aspects of poultry science including such areas as genetics, genomics, genetic/environmental responses, immunology, and molecular genetics.

The purpose of this award is to provide funding for a student actively pursuing their PhD degree in poultry science. The Fellowship will provide funding over a three-year period subject to satisfactory progress. Innovative, applied, and basic aspects of poultry science will be considered including such areas as intestinal health, immunology, poultry pathology and disease, molecular biology, and vaccine technology and development.

The purpose of this award is to support graduate education and research in poultry house enrichment and welfare in broiler chickens. However, innovative applied and basic aspects of poultry science will be considered. The award provides $150,000 in funding over the course of a three-year period. The intent is to provide timely and relevant research of benefit to the poultry industry and to prepare the next generation of graduate scholars for careers in poultry science, education, and the poultry industry.

Funding is subject to satisfactory progress.
